Enschede, the Netherlands.
What kind of studies do you work on?
Studies regarding squamous cell carcinoma’s in the oral cavity, skin, and penis. We use cetuximab-800CW.
Why did you want to do research in this field?
I did my research internship in fluorescence molecular imaging, and I was really enthusiastic about it. When I got the chance to continue working in this field, I immediately took it.
What is your background/did you study?
I have studied human movement science (bachelor) and medicine (bachelor and master). When I finished my master I started my PhD.
What relevant experiences did you gain during your study?
I gained basic research experience during my studies. During my study medicine, I gained skills in working with patients.
What do you like to do when you are not working?
When I’m not working I like to do different kind of sports, I enjoy trying out new things.
